I've been woodworking for several years, but only recently began making utensils. It all started as a joke at a christmas party and a little "encouraging" from a friend. I've come to find that I enjoy it, and it may be a way of helping to pay for my tool and wood addiction.
Everything you'll find was designed and made by me. I can make any utensil or tray from any type or combination of wood. I usually keep utensils made from cherry, walnut, or maple on hand.
I'm only limited by the availability of wood and how fast you need it.
I enjoy cooking and have found over the years that using wooden utensils is safer and does not damage non-stick cookware like metal tools. Plastic tools have a tendacy to melt if you leave them too long on a hot surface, and metal tools will get extremely hot in a short amount of time. Wood does not build heat and will not burn unless exposed to a direct flame.

If you'll go to the links page, I've put some links to a couple of websites that have pretty good pictures and descriptions of different types of wood and veneers. I've also put a link to some pictures of a few pieces of furniture that I've built.
